100% sustainable printing & boxes
Our goal is to make 100% of printing and boxes sustainable by 2025.
We started working on this in 2021 by starting to work with FSC-certified printed packaging as much as possible. For our boxes, we switched to boxes made only from recycled materials.
We then moved on to this in 2022. For the European confection in, all printing was FSC certified. For imports, this is more difficult. Of all import orders in 2022, about 53% were FSC certified.
Our new sustainable packaging
In 2021 came the decision to start revamping all packaging under the Mistral Home brand. Specifically, this means using as little plastic as possible, starting to reduce paper waste and informing customers more clearly about which items are more sustainable.
In the summer of 2022, the packaging of our own brand, Mistral Home, will be completely renewed.
From now on, our duvet covers, table linen and other products will be packaged without a plastic bag. They are folded using only recycled cardboard and a fabric ribbon that can be reused by the end customer.
